- سُر سھڻي جَي ساھڙ، اڀو آڇي ۽ سانڀارا جو بيت
اُڀو ڪَري سَڏَ، ميھارُ مَلاحَنِ جي،
اَدا اِنَهِيءَ پارَ جا، مُوڙي اَچو مَڏَ،
وِئا جٖي وَھَ گَڏَ، سي ھَلو تَہ ڏورِيُون سُپِرِين.

اُڀُوْ ڪَرٖيْ سَڎَ مِهَارُ مَلَاحَنِکٖيْ﮶
اَدَا اِنَهٍ پَارَ جَا مُوْرٖےْ اَچُوْ مَڎَ﮶
وِئَا جٖيْ وَہْ کَڎَ سٖيْ هَلُوْ تَہ ڎُوْرِيٌ سُپِرٍ﮶

TRANSLITERATION
सिन्धी देवनागिरी
उभो करे सड॒। मेहारु मलाहनि खे।
अदा इनहीअ पार जा। मोड़े अचो मड॒।
विआ जे वह गड॒। से हलो त डो॒रियूं सुपिरीं।
ROMAN SINDHI
Ubho karay sadd'a, Mehaar'u malaahan'ay ji,
Ada inahee'a paar'a jaa, morri acho madd'a,
Wi'aa jay wah'a gadd'a, say halo ta ddoriyoo'n supireen.

While standing (at the ferry) Mehar impatiently called the boatmen, and said to them: "O brothers! Please bring round your boats from the yonder side. Let us search for her who has drifted down stream with the current.

Standing upright on the bank, Mehar calls out to the boatman,
Brothers, bring back your boats from the yonder side,
Let us search for the one, Who has been carried away by the current.
حوکے بھردا ہاکاں مارے، بہڑو یار ملاحو
بیڑی اودھر ٹِھل کے دیکھو تِکھی دھار ملاحو
سوہنی ڈبی اَوسے دھارے آو کھاں لبھ لیئے
دیتا ہے ملاحوں کو، میہر آج صدا،
اپنی اپنی لے آؤ تم، کشتی اور مشکیزہ،
ڈوبی جو اس جا، چلو تو اس کی لاش کو ڈھونڈیں۔
ھِن سُر جي راڳ بابت
سھڻي: شاستري سنگيت ۾ ماروا ٺاٺ جي راڳڻي آھي. ھيءَ راڳڻي عام طور تي رات جي پيون پھرن ۾ ڳائي ويندي آھي. سرن جي لحاظ کان آڏو، شڌا آھي.

سُرن جي بيھڪ:
آروھا: سا گا ما ڌا ني سا
آوروھا: سا ني ڌا گا ما ڌا گا ما گا ري سا
ھن راڳڻيءَ جو وادي سر ”ڌا“ جڏھن تہ سموادي سر گا آھي. ھن راڳڻيءَ ۾ ري کان سواءِ سڀ سر تيور ۾ آھن.
