لقد قذر الماء النقي النظيف قذرته الغربان تستحي الوزات بالذهاب إلى العين.
بگلیاں نے گدلایا پانی، چٹا میلا ہویا
لج مریون آوندیاں ہن، ایس جھیل دے اتے ہنس
آج کل ہنس ادھر نہیں آتے
ہائے زاغ و زغن کی نادانی
گرد آلود ہو گیا کتنا
صاف شفاف جھیل کا پانی
کوے میلا کر گئے، تال کا پانی آج،
ہنس کو آئے لاج، آئے نہ میلے تال پر۔
