सिन्धी देवनागिरी
अखियुनि खे आहीनि। वडा॒ वाझ विड़हण जा।
उभियूं मन्डे मामिरो। झेड़ो न लाहीनि।
जीअं से ककर अभ में। तीअं आगिमयूं आहीनि।
झुड़ु फुड़ु न लाहीनि। वसनि सांवण मींहं जीअं॥

The eyes have lots of ways to carry on a scuffle. When they pick up a quarrel, they persist in it and are not in a mood to settle it soon. Like the clouds high above, they are laden with water. Just as the monsoon rains hardly cease at any time, my eyes too shed tears unintermittently.
Eyes know many ways of quarrelling,
They are persistent in their quarrel and never settle it,
As are clouds in the sky they are laden with rain,
They stop not shedding water like monsoon rains.
عجب کار دو چشم اندر جدالِ عشق می باشد
چو در میدان بشد یلغار می جنگند متواتر
چنان بر آسمان میغ آنچنان اینان بشور آنید
مثال ابرِ بپہاری آب می ریزند مُتواتر
یہ جھگڑنے کو ہیں سدا تیار
ان کے لڑنے کے ہیں عجب اطوار
ان پہ ساون کو رشک آتا ہے
جب لرزتے ہیں آنسوئوں کے تار
نت نئی آن بان سے دیکھا
میں نے آنکھوں کو برسرِ پیکار
وہ بلا نوش حسنِ ہستی ہیں
رات دن غرقِ کیف و مستی ہیں
کوئی دیکھے تو میری آنکھوں کو
جو گھٹا کی طرح برستی ہیں
جو کئی بار سیر ہو کر بھی
جلوۂ یار کو ترستی ہیں
کیا کیا میرے نینن کے، لڑنے کے ہیں ڈھنگ،
دیکھ جھڑتے نینن کو، عجب ہے ان کی جنگ،
ایسے چھائے کارے بدرا، جیسے رُت سارنگ،
برسیں ساون سنگ، پل پل نیر بہائیں۔
