اَلَستُ اَرِواحَنِ کي، جَڏھِن فَرِمايو فَتاحَ،
ھو مَنَ ڪاڍو ميھارَ ڏي، سُهڻِيءَ سِڪَڻُ ساھَ،
دِلو دَورَ دَرياھَ جي، ڪِئو اِرادي اَڌاءَ،
جيڪِي آيُسِ ڏُونھِن اللهَ، سو پاري مُنڌَ پاتارَ ۾.

هُوْ مَنَ ڪَانڊُوْ مِھَارَ ڎٖيْ سُھْنِيَ سِڪَنُ سَاہُ﮶

TRANSLITERATION
सिन्धी देवनागिरी
“अलस्तु” अरिवाहनि खे। जडि॒हीं फ़रिमायो फ़ताह।
हो मन काढो मेहार डे॒। सुहिणीअ सिकणु साह।
दिलो दोर दरियाह जे। किओ एरादे अधाअ।
जेकी आयुसि डूंहं अल्लाह। सो पारे मुंध पातार में।

Alast'u arwaahan'ay khhay, jadd'hee'n farimaayo fataah'a,
Hoo man'a kaadhho Mehaar'a dday, Suhinni'a sikann'u saah'a,
Dilo daor'a daryaah'a jay, ki'o iraadi adhhaa'a,
Jeki aayus'ay ddoonhin Allah'a, so paari mundh'a paataar'a mayn.

When Allah, the Arbiter, enquired from the souls: "Am I not your Lord?" the heart of Suhni had already gone out to Mehar fully captivated. The jar was outwardly broken into pieces due to the river's surge, but as a matter of fact it was so ordained (By Allah). Watever (directive) came to her from Allah she obeyed and fulfilled in water. (She welcomed and obeyed in this world, as an ardent devotee, all commandments of Allah).
When the One asked souls "Am I not your God"
Sohni had her heart set on Mehar and longed for him intensely,
Fate had the river break pitcher into two pieces,
She kept to the Covenant in the river-bottom.
When the Arbiter enquired of souls, "Am I not your God?"
Sohni had her heart set on Mehar, she longed for him intensely,
Surge of river broke the pitcher into two pieces, it was preordained,
What came from Allah, she obeyed in the river-bottom.
روحاں نوں کرکٹھیاں جس دن رب الست فرمایا
او دن ہی دل دے کے سوہنی مزا عشق دا پایا
گھڑا ٹُٹا ادھ وچالے بھانا رب ورتایا
ڈونگھی تازی لاونی پیندی جو ماہی نوں لوڑے
جن کی روحیں تھیں آشناے الست
وحدتِ حق کے راز دار ہوئے
اور جو محوِ ماسوا ہی رہے
اپنے اوہام کا شکار ہوئے
روحوں سے جب ساجن نے، الست تھا فرمایا،
تب سے اس میہار کا، دل میں عشق سمایا،
رب نے تھا جو چاہا، اسکی بھنور میں ہوئی تعمیل۔
ھِن سُر جي راڳ بابت
سھڻي: شاستري سنگيت ۾ ماروا ٺاٺ جي راڳڻي آھي. ھيءَ راڳڻي عام طور تي رات جي پيون پھرن ۾ ڳائي ويندي آھي. سرن جي لحاظ کان آڏو، شڌا آھي.

سُرن جي بيھڪ:
آروھا: سا گا ما ڌا ني سا
آوروھا: سا ني ڌا گا ما ڌا گا ما گا ري سا
ھن راڳڻيءَ جو وادي سر ”ڌا“ جڏھن تہ سموادي سر گا آھي. ھن راڳڻيءَ ۾ ري کان سواءِ سڀ سر تيور ۾ آھن.
