سَجِدو فِيلَ فِي الحالِ ڪِئو، پَسِي مُطِلِبَ نُورُ نِراَڙَ،
ڄاپَڻَ وَقتِ وَرِيامَ جي، ڀَڳا ڪوٽَ ڪُفارَ،
اُڪَنڊِئا جي اَبُرَ کي، سي سَرَھا ٿِئا سَنگهارَ،
موڪَلَ ٿِي مِينھَن کي، دوسِتَ ھَٿان دِلِدارَ،
قادِرَ پاڻِ قَسَمُ ڪِئو، خاڪِ قَدَمَنِ جي ڪَلتارَ،
آھِين ڪَرَمَ ڪَرِيمَ جا، اَحمَدَ ساڻُ اَپارَ،
آگي آسِمانَ جو، ڪارِئو سَيرُ سَتارَ،
وَلَسَوۡفَ يُعۡطِيڪَ رَبُّڪَ فَتَرۡضَىٰ توسين قادِرَ ڪِئا قَرارَ.

اَکِيَان مٖيْکُہ مَلَارُ صُوْرَةَ تَيْڎِيْ سَڀِ جَکُہ مُوْهِئَا﮶

قَادِرَ پَانِ قَسَمُ ڪِئُوْ خَاڪِ قَدَمَنِ جٖيْ ڪَلْتَارَ﮶
اٰهِيْنِ ڪَرَمَ ڪَرِيْمَ جَا اَحْمَدَ سَانُ اَپَارَ﮶
آَکٖيْ آَسِمَانَجُوْ ڪَارِئُوْ سَيْرُ سَتَارَ﮶
وَلَسَوْفَ يُعْطِيْكَ رَبُّكَ فَتَرْضٰى تُوْس﮼ قَادِرَ ڪِئَا قَرَارَ﮶

TRANSLITERATION
सिन्धी देवनागिरी
अखिआं मेघु मलारु। सूरत तेडी॒अ सभि जगु॒ मोहिया।
सजिदो फ़ील फ़िल्हालि किओ। पसी मुतिलिब नूरु निराड़।
जा॒पण वक़्ति वरियाम जे। भगा॒ कोट कुफ़ार।
उकंडिआ जे अबुर खे। से सरहा थिआ संघार।
मोकल थी मींहं खे। दोसित हथां दिल्दार।
क़ादिर पाणि क़समु किओ। ख़ाकि क़दमनि जे कल्तार।
आहीं करम करीम जा। अह्मदसलम साणु अपार।
आगे आसिमान जो। कारिओ सेरु सतार।

(O Prophet!) Your eyes are full of mercy like the rain laden cloud. Your face has fascinated all mankind.
The elephant (of Abrah of Yeman) immediately prostrated before Hazrat Abdul Muttalib (the grandfather of the Prophet), when he noticed the Divine light on his forehead. At the time of your birth some of the battlements of the fort of an infidel (sovereign) had collapsed.
چوں ہیتش در افواہ دنیا فتاد،
تزلزل در ایوانِ کسریٰ فتاد۔

When the good news (of his birth) got circulated in the world, upheaval took place in the palace of the Persian Emperor.
Allah, the Compassionate, made you visit and see all the skies (and their contents). “And your Lord would soon grant you”. This is what Allah has promised with you.
Your Lord would soon give you, and you would be well pleased
(5, AI-Duha).
Allah, the Mighty, has sworn by the dust of your feet. Immense are the favours of Allah, the gracious, on the Prophet.
Those rustic persons (i.e. the Arabs), who were yearning for the cloud of mercy (i.e. the Prophet), are quite happy now, as the dear Friend (i.e. Allah) has permitted the cloud to rain (guidance or mercy).
Note: In this Vai there is reference to the elephant of Abraha, the Christian Abyssinian Governor of Yeman, who had constructed a magnificent Church there and ordered that all persons should visit it as the House of God vice Kaaba. But none obeyed him. He realized that so long the Kaaba was there his ambition would never be satisfied. Accordingly, he marched with an army of brave soldiers to demolish the Kaaba. He was mounted on a huge elephant. He encamped at a distance of a few miles from Mecca and sent for its Chief Hazrat Abdul Muttalib, (the grandfather of the Prophet). He told him that he merely wanted to destroy Kaaba, but if the Meccans offered resistance, he would fight with them and kill them.
Hazrat Abdul Muttalib saw his elephant prominently standing there. He returned home and advised the Meccans to vacate the town and seek refuge among the mountains. On the next morning the army got ready to march to Mecca but Abraha’s mammoth refused to move forward. All goadings were ineffective. In the meantime a swarm of birds came from the sea side and they dropped stones on the men and animals of Abraha. All of them, including Abraha, perished. Kaaba was thus saved by Allah. This happened just about 50 days before the birth of the Prophet of Islam.

Your eyes are like clouds, your countenance fascinates the whole world,
Perceiving the Divine light in Muttalib's* forehead the elephant prostrated,
On my lord's birth towers of the infidels' fort collapsed,
Lord made you visit and see all the heavens,
"And your lord would soon grant you" was God's promise with you,
The Almighty himself has sworn by the dust of you feet,
Immense are the favors of Allah on Ahmed,
Those yearning for rain are happy,
Our friend has let the rainfall.

قدماں دی خاک دیاں قسماں، آپوں چکیاں ہن کرتار
ہے نیں کرم کریم سندے، احمد نال اپار
نال ابر دے آس لائی سو، چھیڑُو تھئے سُکھیار
مل گئی چُٹھی مینہہ نوں، دوست ہتھوں دلدار
ساری دنیا ہے شیدائی
صلی اللہ تیری زیبائی
سجدے میں ہیں دونوں عالم
شوکت کسری درہم و برہم
تیرا پر تو عرشِ اعظم
تو ہے نورِ ازل کا محرم
وہ تری جلوہ آرائی
ساری دنیا ہے شیدائی

پانو کی تیری دھول بھی پیاری
قسمیں کھائے ذاتِ باری
ہر سو تیرا فیض ہے جاری
جاگ اٹھی تقدیر ہماری

اکھیاں میگھ ملہار ، صورت نے جگ موہ لیا ہے،
مُطلب کی پیشانی سے، نور کا تھا اظہار،
فیل نے سجدہ جسے کیا تھا، مُطلب وہ سردار،
آپ وجود میں جس دم آئے، کانپ اُٹھے کفار،
عرش بریں پر قدم دھرا تو، سامنے تھا دلدار،
احمد پی پر رحمت کی ہے، جس کا انت نہ پار،
قادر جس کی قسمیں کھائے، احمدؐ سے ہے پیار،
ترسی اکھیاں بدرا دیکھیں، مسکائیں "سنگھار"،
رم جھم رحمت برسن لاگی، کرم ہوا دلدار۔
ھِن سُر جي راڳ بابت
سارنگ راڳ جو جنم سنڌ جي قديمي ٺاٺ ڪافي مان ٿئي ٿو. ھي راڳ اوڍو ۽ کاڍو يعني پنجن ۽ ڇھن سرن جي روپ ۾ سرگم تي ٻڌل آهي. ھن راڳ ۾ گنڌار (گا) جو سر ناھي لڳائبو. ھن راڳ جو وادي سر رکب (ري) ۽ سم وادي سر پنچم (پا) آھي. سارنگ راڳ ۾ ڌيوت جو سر خلاصو ڪري استعمال ۾ آڻبو آهي. دکن جي گرنٿن ۾ ھن راڳ ۾ تيور گنڌار ۽ تيور مڌم جو استعمال ڏيکاريو آھي، پر ھي قانون ھند جي ڪنھن سنگيت يا قانون ۾ لاڳو ناھي. سنگيت پاريجات ۾ شڌ سارنگ ۾ ٻئي مڌم يعني (ما) ۽ (مي) ۽ ٻئي نکاد يعني (ني) ۽ (نا) پڻ راڳي لڳائيندا آھن. ھي مت بہ رواجن شڌ سارنگ جي استعمال ۽ راڳ جي شڪل ٺاھڻ کان غير رواجي ثابت ٿيندي .صحيح شڌ سارنگ جي شڪل ھندستان جي سنگيتڪار چتر پنڊت پنھنجي سنگيت ۾ ھن ريت ڏني آهي:
