اَلَستُ اَرِواحَنِ کي، جَڏھِن جاڳايو جَلِيلَ،
سَنئِين راھَ سَيِّدُ چئَي، سوٺائُون سَبِيلَ،
وَحدَتَ جي وادِيءَ ۾، ڪِي قَدرَ قَلِيلَ،
دَرياھَ جي دَلِيلَ، لَکين لَهوارا ڪِئا.

اَلَسْتُ اَرْوَاحَنِکٖيْ جَڎِہْ جَاکَايُوْ جَلِيْـلَ﮶
سَىءٍ رَاہَ سَيِّدُ چٖيْ سُوْٽَاءٍ سَبِيْـلَ﮶
وَحْدَتَ جِيَ وَادِيَم﮼ قَدْرُوئَا قَلِيْـلَ﮶
دَرْيَا جٖيْ دَلِيْـلَ لَکہ﮼ لَاهُئَارَا ڪِئَا﮶

TRANSLITERATION
सिन्धी देवनागिरी
अलस्तु अरिवाहनि खे। जडि॒हीं जागा॒यो जलील।
संईं राह सयदु चए। सूठाऊं सबील।
वहदत जे वादीअ में। क़दर विआ क़लील।
दरियाह जे दलील। लखें लहवारा किआ।

Alast'u arwaahan'ay khhay, jadd'hee'n jaaggayo jaleel'a,
San'ee'n raah'a Sayyad'u chae, sothhaoo'n sabeel'a,
Wahdat'a ji waadi'a mayn, ki qadar'a qaleel'a,

By putting the (declarant sort of) question to the souls: 'Am I not your Lord'? Allah, the Majestic, actually made them cognizant of the actuality. "As a result, says Sayed, "they declared that they would pursue the straight path leading to Him." But later (in this world) very few of them adhered to the doctrine of Oneness of Allah, while the others drifted aimlessly along the current due to the surges in the river (or the materialistic urges in the world).
When Lord asked that question from the souls,
Since then was Suhni to Mehar betrothed,
Destiny caused to break in two the earthen pot,
That which was destined, the maid in waters deep accomplished.
When great God roused the souls with "am I not your Lord"?
Then did the souls find the righteous path,
Valley of oneness from many, just a few found,
In world's deceitful ocean most of them got drowned.
When the Exalted awoke souls by asking, "Am I not your God?"
Sayyad says, they recognized the straight path,
Out of millions only a few reached the valley of Oneness,
Taken in by its deceptive appearance,
Many were drowned by the river.
فى يوم “ألست” لما اﷲ عز وجل أوقظ الأرواح هم وجدوا صراطا مستقيما ما بقيوا إلا قليل من مئات ملايين فى وادي الوحدة.
لما وصل الإنسان فى هذه الدنيا- نسي أصله ونسي بأنه أقرفى “عالم الأرواح” إن اﷲ هو ربه وخالقه وانجرف فى طوامع الدنيا وأحراص.
من عرف نفسه عرف ربه- وأصبح الهدف والوحيد هو الحصول على الدنيا من أي طريق.
فالقلب واللسان والجوارح مشغولة ليلا ونهارا فى طلب الدنيا.
فهي المنتهى والمشتهى. الآن ونسي أنه يرجع إلى ربه وهو يحاسبه.
جہناں روحاں نے رب سچے دی رمز الست پچھانی
اونہاں بھیت وحدت دا لبھا سمجھی ربی بانی
لکھہ کروڑاں ریہہ گئے وانجھے کھبے وہماں گھانی
سار نا جانی سید آکھے محرم راز نا ہوئے
الست کی جب آواز آئی تھی، کیے تھے جب اقرار،
پی کی اور جو جاتی تھی وہ، دیکھی تھی راہ گذار،
لیکن وحدت کی وادی میں، آئے تھے چند ہی یار،
لہریں لاکھ ہزار، دیکھ کے بھولے دریا کو۔
ھِن سُر جي راڳ بابت
سھڻي: شاستري سنگيت ۾ ماروا ٺاٺ جي راڳڻي آھي. ھيءَ راڳڻي عام طور تي رات جي پيون پھرن ۾ ڳائي ويندي آھي. سرن جي لحاظ کان آڏو، شڌا آھي.

سُرن جي بيھڪ:
آروھا: سا گا ما ڌا ني سا
آوروھا: سا ني ڌا گا ما ڌا گا ما گا ري سا
ھن راڳڻيءَ جو وادي سر ”ڌا“ جڏھن تہ سموادي سر گا آھي. ھن راڳڻيءَ ۾ ري کان سواءِ سڀ سر تيور ۾ آھن.
