لٖيْرَنِکٖيْ لَطِيْفُ چٖيْ هَلَنَجُوْ مَذْڪُوْرُ﮶
مَيَنِکٖيْ مَعْمُوْرُ اٰهٖيْ اُنْ تُنْ اَکَي﮼ پَنڌَ جِيْ﮶

TRANSLITERATION
सिन्धी देवनागिरी
ओगा॒रीनि न अनरा। ब॒धा चरनि न बूरु।
लेड़नि खे लतीफ़ चए। हलण जो मज़्कूरु।
मयनि खे मामूरु। आहे उणि तुणि अगि॒यें पन्ध जी।

Aoggaareen'ay na atara'a, Badhaa charan'ay na Boor'u,
Leerran'ay khhay Lateef'u chae, halann'a jo mazkoor'u,
Mayan'ay khhay ma'moor'u, aahay unn'ay tunn'ay aggee'n pandh'a jee.

The camels were tethered, but they did not masticate grass or relish buds. "They were," says Latif, "impatient for the journey. They were preordained in that behalf and were very keen to start it."
Note: The true believers are not interested in the luxuries of this world. They are only anxious to vie with each other in the cause of Allah, and pursue their journey to the Hereafter.
Camels, being tethered, are munching Aanra grass nor grazing buds,
Lateef says, they are thinking only about their departure,
They are worried about the trek lying ahead.
اوٹھ کٹاراں چردے ناہیں نا اوہ لُنگ بھروندے
راہے راہے ٹردے جاندے مونہوں اوٹھ نا کوندے
پندھ مکاون چھیتی چھیتی لگی لگن اونہاں نوں
انہیں کچھ کھانے پینے کا نہیں فکر
وہ ناقے سرخوش عزم سفر ہیں
خدا جانے انہیں کیسی لگن ہے
کہ وہ منزل بہ منزل تیز تر ہیں
نہ تو کریں جُگالی ناقے، نہ ہی کھائیں بور،
پل پل فکر ہے کیچ سفر کی، یہی وہ مذکور،
یہ ہی ہے مقدور، کہ دشت و جبل کو روندیں ناقے۔
