सिन्धी देवनागिरी
उठ वेरी ओठार वेरी। टिआ वेरी डे॒र।
चोथूं वेरी वाउ थिओ। जंहिं लटिआ पुनूह पेर।
पंजूं वेरी सिजु॒ थिओ। जंहिं उलही की अवेर।
छहूं वेरी चंडु थिओ। जंहिं संवां किआ न सेर।
वाहेरे जे वेर। थी छुलूं करियां छपरें।

The camels, their drivers and my husband's brothers - all were hostile to me. Added to them were a) the breeze which obliterated Punhoo's footprints, b) the sun which set (earlier than usual) and delayed my journey due to darkness, c) the mountains which had not tractable and straight passes, and d) lastly the moon which delayed to appear on the horizon. Whereas it is time now that all birds return to their nests, but here am I, hopping amidst the hills.

With whomso I got acquainted in this wilderness, he turned his face from grace and practised unkindness on me.
Camels, camel riders and brothers-in-law were my foes,
Fourth enemy is the wind that erased Punhoon's track,
Fifth enemy became the sun that soon set,
Sixth enemy the mountain that straightened not its paths,
Seventh enemy the moon that-rose not apace,
I stride fast through the hard rocks at eve, when birds are back.
Camels were my enemy,
So were the camel men and brothers of Punhoon,
Fourth enemy was the wind as it covered
Beloved's footprints with dust,
Fifth enemy was the sun, which delayed my journey by setting,
Sixth enemy was the mountain as,
It did not make its passes any easier,
Seventh enemy was the moon as it was late in rising,
It is time for birds to return home, but I am wandering in mountain.

فیر پہاڑاں گھٹ نا کیتی مینوں راہ بُھلایا
دھوکھا دتا ویری چن نے نا چڑھ آکاشیں آیا
وچ آہلنے پنچھی سُتے آرام کرن بے فکرے
کچھ ان اونٹوں نے میرا دل دکھایا
کچھ ان کے ساربانوں نے ستایا
کہوں کیا دیوروں کی دشمنی کو
جنہوںنے مجھ سے پنہوں کو چھڑایا
کیا سورج نے خود چھپ کر اندھیرا
صبا نے نقشِ پا اس کا مٹایا
قمر بھی ہو گیا روپوش آخر
پہاڑوں نے بھی میرا غم بڑھایا
ہوا دشمن مرا سارا زمانہ
مصیبت میں نہ کوئی کام آیا
ایک تو بیری ناقے، دوجے، دیور اور اسوار،
دشت کی لُو بھی بیرن جس نے، مٹائے سب آثار،
سورج بھی ہے بیری جو بھی، ڈوبا آخرکار،
دشت و جبل بھی بیری جن کی، راہیں ہیں دشوار،
چندا بھی ہے بیری جو نہ، اُبھرا اب کی بار،
بھٹک رہی تھی نار، جب آن چھپے پیڑوں میں پنچھی۔
