सिन्धी देवनागिरी
उतर लगे॒ ओहरिआ। वाहूंदे वरनि।
आऊं घणूई घोरियां। सोदो सामूंडियनि।
अङणि जनि अचनि। ईद वरते उनि खे।

They sailed away with the advent of the northern wind; and they would return with the spring breeze. Fie on the transactions made by the seamen! (For me it is their return which counts;) and it definitely is an Eid festival for those to whom their seamen consorts return.
Wind from north blows, they depart to return in spring,
Much do I loath, the business that they profess,
It is festival for those whose husband from voyage return.
As the north, wind blew, they sailed and will return when the spring wind blows,
I am all for forsaking the trade the mariners ply,
It is Eid* for those whose consort have come to them.
عندما هبت الرياح الشماليه هم غادروا للرحلة ويعودون مرة ثانية فى فصل الربيع.
اﷲ يخزى تجارة البحارين.
[هم يفرحون ولهم افراح مسرات العيد ويدخل فى ساحاتهم الأحباء] الذين يدخل فى ساحاتهم وعرصاتهم الأحباء هم يفرحون ولهم ولهم مسرّات العيد.
وگدی اُتر اوہ ٹُر جاندے چڑھے بہاراں آوندے
شالا کھوہ وچ پے جئے سارا جیہڑا ونج کماندے
گھریں اونہاں دے عیداں ہوون میت جہناں دے آئے
گھروں میں شادیانے بج رہے ہیں
خوشی سے جشن سکھیوں نے منائے
جنہیں بادِ شمالی لے اڑی تھی
سفر سے وہ مسافر لوٹ آئے
چلی ہوا تو چلے مسافر، برکھا رت میں آئیں،
بھاڑ میں جھونکوں ہیرے موتی، اپنے سنگ جو لائیں،
وہ تو جشن منائیں، جن کے لوٹ کے آئے مانجھی۔
ھِن سُر جي راڳ بابت
سر سامونڊي جو تعلق سنڌي پرڪاش راڳ آھي ۽ ھن جي شڪل پوربي ٺاٺ سان ملي ٿي. آروھي ۽ آمروھي اوڏو سمپورڻ آھي يعني آروھيءَ ۾ پنج سر ۽ آمروھيءَ ۾ ست سر آھن. ڀٽائي جن جي راڳ کي راڳ وديا ۾ اھڙو تہ چالو ڏنو آھي جيڪو ھند جي ڏنل سنگيت سان ڪونہ ٿو ملي. انهيءَ ڪري شاھ جي سنگيت ۾ ان جو نالو ئي لطيفي چالو رکيو ويو آھي. وادي سر ”گنڌار“ ۽ سموادي سر ڌيوت راڳ جي آلاپن جو پھر شام کان رات تائين جو آھي.
