TRANSLITERATION
सिन्धी देवनागिरी
अधर निधर अभरी। वेचारी वरे।
लालण लए लतीफ़ चए। पुरी पेर भरे।
कमीणी करे। कारूं कैच धणियनि खे।
ROMAN SINDHI
Adhar'a nidhar'a abhari, wechaari waray,
Laalann'a la'ay Lateef'u chae, puri per'a bharay,
Kameenni karay, kaaroo'n kech'a dhanniyan'ay khhay.
TRANSLATIONS
lnspite of her being without a patron, resources and strength the poor woman did not retrace her steps to Bhambhore. (i.e. she pursued her Ideal and she did not revert to the worldly comforts.) According to Latif, she continued her journey uninterruptedly to the Lord. However, as a weakling she whimpered to the Lord for aid.
Sans support, sans help, she returns not,
She goes on moving towards the beloved , says Lateef,
Poor woman cries for the lords of Kech.
بے بس، انجانی، لاوارث، پھر بھی لوٹ نہ آئے،
کہے لطیف کہ یار کی اور وہ، پل پل چلتی جائے،
تڑپ نیر بہائے، کیچی یار پکارے۔
