- سُر ڪلياڻ جَي سُوري، ڪاتي ۽ زھر جو بيت
اَصلِ عاشِقَ پانھِنجي، سِسِي نَہ سانڍِينِ،
لاھِئو سِرُ لَطِيفُ چئَي، ساھُ سَلاڙِئو ڏِينِ،
ڪُلَھَنِئُون ڪاٽِينِ، پُڇَنِ پوءِ پِريَتڻُون.
سمجهاڻي
اصل کان وٺي عاشقن جي اها رسم آهي تہ هو پنھنجا سر قربان ڪرڻ کان بنهہ ڪونہ ڪيٻائن (ڪو بھانو تلاش نہ ڪن). عبداللطيف چوي ٿو تہ هو پنھنجو سر وڍي، ان سان گڏ (ساڳئي رسي ۾) ساھ بہ صدقو ڪيو ٿا ڇڏين. هو محبت جو نالو وٺڻ کان اڳ ۾ پھريائين پنھنجا سر ڪلهن وٽان ڪوري (ڪپي) ڏين ٿا.

सिन्धी देवनागिरी
असिलि आशिक़ पांहिंजी। सिसी न सांढीनि।
लाहियो सिरु। लतीफ़ु चे। साहु सलाड़ियो ॾेनि।
कुल्हनियऊं काटीनि। पुछन पोइ पिरितणू॥
