- سُر ڏھر جَي وڳرين ڪُينجين جو بيت
وَڳَرُ وِساري، ويٺِيئَن ڪِيئَن ماٺِ ڪَري،
ڪِ تو نَہ ماري، رُڻِ جُهڻِ سَندِي سَڄَڻين.
سمجهاڻي
اي ڪونج، تون پنھنجي وڳر کي وساري ڪيئن ماٺ ڪري ويھي رهينءَ. ڇو توکي سڄڻن جي ورونھن ۽ سڪ واري يادگيريءَ ماري نہ وڌو (جو اڃان پيئي جيئين!)

TRANSLITERATION
सिन्धी देवनागिरी
वग॒र विसारे। वेठीअं कीअं माठि करे।
कि तो न मारे। रुणि झुणि संदी सज॒णें॥

Waggar'u wisaare, wethhiyen keean maathh kare,
Ke to na maare, runn Jhunn sandee saJhhannen.
TRANSLATIONS
O Crane! How is it that you have forgotten the flock and remained quiet in their absence? Could not sweet memories of the dear ones kill you?
شرم بایدت از حیات خود کہ بیدیدار او،
درد دلِ من آرزوی خیر و شر باز آمدند

Oh my crane! how did you from flock detach yourself?
Does not the memory of loved ones' sweet talk make you sad?
Oh my crane! yesterday your flock left,
What will you do in the lake without them?
How is it that you forgot your flock and set down quietly?
Why don't the sweet memories of your dear ones make you pensive?
يا كركي! نسيت سربك وكيف جالس صامت؟
هل لايقتلك ذكريات تغاريد حلوة للأحباء وللأصدقاء؟
آج اے کونج ہم صفیروںکو
کر رہی ہے اداس تیری یاد
تونے دیکھے نہ وہ تہ خاشاک
جال پھیلا گئے تھے جو صیاد
تجھے بیتابیوں سے کیا حاصل
کون سنتا ہے اب تری فریاد
کر چکے ہیں شکار لاکھوں کو
وہ جفا پیشہ وہ ستم ایجاد
بھول کے اپنی ڈار کو، کونج ہےکیسی شاد،
ڈار کا میٹھا کُرلانا، آئے نہ اس کو یاد۔
