TRANSLITERATION
सिन्धी देवनागिरी
विओ जागा॒ए जतु। वेरी कंहिं विलात जो।
संदो सूरनि ख़तु। डि॒नुमि होत हथनि सें।
ROMAN SINDHI
wi'o jaggaae jat'u, weri kanhin wilaat'a jo,
sando sooran'ay khat'u, ddinum'ay hot'a hathan'ay see'n.
TRANSLATIONS
The Baluch, an "enemy" from some remote land, awakened me with His love. (He disturbed my normalcy with His affection.) He gave me in my hands a tablet prescribing for me the travails of separation.
The camel man, the outlander enemy, awakened me,
He himself handed over to me the script of sufferings.
اِک پردیسی اوٹھاں والے ویری درد جگائے
آپنے ہتیں پچھ کے دل نوں ٹرگئے مونہہ لکائے
جانے کون سے دیس سے آیا، جگا گیا وہ بیری،
دے گیا درد کا پروانہ وہ، بری تھی قسمت میری۔
