لَهرِيين لُڙَ لَطِيفُ چئَي، جَهلِئا جُنگَ جُوانَ،
اُونِهي تَڙِ آڳَٽِئا، آڏِي پائي آڻَ،
جٖي پِئا مُنھِن مَھِراڻَ، تَنِ ٻانڌِيَنِ ٻَيٽُ نَہ اُڄَھي.

सिन्धी देवनागिरी

आहियें हिति उमाण। ब॒धु तुरहो तारि जो।
लहरियें लुड़ तलतीफ़। झलिआ जुंग जुवान।
ऊनिहे तड़ि आग॒टिआ। आडी॒ पाए आण।
जे पिआ मुंहिं महिराण। तनि बां॒धियनि बे॒टु न उज॒हे।

Aahee'n hit'ay umaann'a, Badh'u turaho taar'ay jo,
Lahiree'n lurr'a Lateef'u chae, jhhali'aa jung'a juwaan'a,

  • Since you are about to go to the yonder bank (to meet Mehar), get ready with a raft meant for deep water. (This means that you are bound to die and appear before Allah for rendering account. Hence equip yourself well for that exigency). Please note that the waves and the tumult in the river are so frightening that even heroic persons hesitate to enter it. This is what Latif says. (Since they dared not to go further) they had to stop at the site where the river was deep,and to humbly admit their inability to proceed further. On the other hand those swimmers, who like the drifting logs, resolutely faced the current, did not halt at any midway island (but pursued their course unhesitatingly.) (This means that the righteous believers were not unnerved by the worldly influences and hardships, nor by the prospecetve interrogation after death, but they maintained their course of self renunciation and integrity till they reached their goal).

    Suhni satisfied with the unbaked jar, asks not for a baked one,
    Crossing the waters deep to Mahar she hopes to run,
    Love has overpowered her, how can she control it?

    You are here as a trust, get a raft ready,
    The raging waves, says Lateef,
    Have even daunted the brave and the strong,
    The deep water stopped them and they submitted before its force,
    Even the floating logs could not drift to an island in Mehran.

    بجز وارفتگانِ عیش طوفاں

    ہوجا اب تیار، تو ہے امانت ساجن کی،
    بڑے بڑے پیراک تھے جن کو، لہریں تھی دیوار،
    روک دیا لہروں نے ان کو، مان لی سب نے ہار،
    پیڑ کا تنہ یار، مہران میں تیر نہ پائے۔

    سھڻي: شاستري سنگيت ۾ ماروا ٺاٺ جي راڳڻي آھي. ھيءَ راڳڻي عام طور تي رات جي پيون پھرن ۾ ڳائي ويندي آھي. سرن جي لحاظ کان آڏو، شڌا آھي.

    ھن راڳڻيءَ جو وادي سر ”ڌا“ جڏھن تہ سموادي سر گا آھي.  ھن راڳڻيءَ ۾ ري کان سواءِ سڀ سر تيور ۾ آھن.
