ڳالِهيُون ڳَهِلي لوڪَ سين، پَڌَرِ پَئِي نَہ ڪَنِ،
ڪا مُلِ آھي تَنِ، مُون پِريان جِي ڳالِهڙِي.

The nomads traverse with bodies adorned in a cloak of dust, distant from the ignorant masses, withholding their sacred mysteries** They remain aloof, for they have embraced profound wisdom imparted by the Beloved** Their hearts bear the certainty of divine guidance, a treasure they safeguard with utmost reverence**

ڀَڪُلِئَا ڀُوْرَنِ دَلْقَ کَڎِئُوْ ڌُوْرِ م﮼﮶
کَالِيٌ کَهْلٖيْ لُوْڪَس﮼ پَڌَرِ پَئِيْ نَڪَنِ﮶
ڪَامُلِ آَهٖيْ تَنِ مُنْ پِرْيَانجِيْ کَالَرِيْ﮶

TRANSLITERATION
सिन्धी देवनागिरी

भकुलिआ भुणनि। दलक़ गडि॒ओ धूड़ि में।
गा॒लिहियूं ग॒हिले लोक सें। पधरि पई न कनि।
का मुलि आहे तनि। मूं पिर्यां जी गा॒लहड़ी।

Bhulkiya bhunnan, dalaQ'a gaDiyo dhoorr me,
Ggalhiyoon ggahile lokk'a seen padhar payi na kan,
Ka mul Aahe tan, moon piryaan je ggalhirree.

  • Then nomads generally move about with their body coated with dust. They do not mix with or give out their secrets to the ignorant (and uninitiated) folk. It is definite that they have acquired some guide lines from the Beloved.
    TRADITION: The Prophet generally kept silent. Whenever he spoke, his talk was never loose.
    Note: Khawaja sedulously abstained from idle talk and unnecessary discussion. He followed the Prophet’s policy. He used to say: “If you want to succeed in your spiritual mission, develop in yourself the virtues of dust. (i.e. humility and simplicity).

    The camp of Iove is a different place and a Divine lover bears different marks.

    Covering their bodies with dust, they move on,
    To ordinary folks their secret they disclose not,
    Of the knowledge they have of the loved one.

    Smearing their body with dust they roam,
    They disclose not their heart's secrets to naives,
    They certainly valme what my beloved says.


    المشتاقون يمسحون جسدهم بالتراب ويمشون وأجسادهم ملآنة من التراب والوسخ.
    ولا يتكلمون مع الجهلاء ولا يفشون أسرارهم معهم عندهم سر عظيم.


    خاک جمی ہے تن پر، انگ اَٹی ہے دھول،
    کبھی نہ پی کا بھید بتائیں، ان کا ہے یہ اصول،
    ہنس کر کریں قبول، پریتم کی ہر بات کو۔
