TRANSLITERATION
सिन्धी देवनागिरी
वर में कोनिहे वरु। डे॒रनि वरु वडो॒ किओ।
निहारींदियसि निकणी। बोतनि कारणि बरु।
आडो॒ टकर टरु। मतां रोह रतियूं थियें।
ROMAN SINDHI
War'a mayn konhay war'u, dderan'ay war'u waddo ki'o,
Nihaareendiyas'ay nikiri, botan'ay karann'ay bar'u,
Aaddo ttakar'a ttar'u, mataa'n roh'a ratiyoo'n theen.
TRANSLATIONS
My husband is absolutely free from all dissimulation (or crooked-ness). But his brothers were highly perfidious. As a destitute woman, free from all ego, I shall undertake to look for the (fugitive party's) camels all over the barren tract. O mountain! Please clear out from my front or you may be broken into pieces (by my curses).
On that day will Allah pay them their just dues, and they shall know that Allah alone is the manifest Truth. (25, AI-Nur)
Note: If the ور implies the Prophet, ڏيرن may mean the Meccans who forced him into exile.
"Not my husband but brothers -in-law played the trick,
In the desert for their camels will I search,
Rock facing me, make way, lest you in pieces break.
My husband not crooked but his brothers did a great mischief,
I will go out and look for the camels in wilderness,
O mountains, move away from my path,
Else you will break into please.
زوجي ليس بخادع. وغشاش ولاكن إخوان زوجي خدعوني أنا أخرج فى البراري أدور الجمال.
يا جبل! جنب من عدي.
لا تتحطم جذاذا وتتكسر يا رواسي.
پنوں تاں سی بھولا بھالا جیٹھا کپٹ کمایا
وچ تھلاں دے ڈھونڈاں جاکے جھلاں جو سر آیا
اگوں ہٹ جا ڈونگر نہیں تان بھسم کراں گی تینوں
کہیں تم راکھ ہو کر رہ نہ جائو
شرارِ آہِ سوزاں کے اثر سے
بس اب ہٹ جائو اے کوہ و بیاباں!
گذرنے کو ہوں میں اس رہگذر سے
مجھے جل دے کر میرے دیوروں نے
کیا مجھ کوجدا اس راہبر سے
وہ میری زندگی کا آسرا
مرے قلب و نظر کا مدعا ہے
ہوت کہاں وہ دیور میرے، بڑے ہی تھے ہوشیار،
نقشِ پا ناقوں کے ڈھونڈہوں، چھانوں سب کوہسار،
ہوگا تو مسمار، ورنہ راہ سے ہٹ جا پربت!
