    الزاهدون شالوا الأبواق على كتوفهم وفى صحبتهم كل آلام والأوجاع.
    انطلقوا وتوجهوا واتجهوا نحو كابل.
    بالأمس العابدون ذكروا المعبد وانصرفوا.


    سوئے کابل کبھی مسافت ہے
    بتکدوں میں کبھی عبادت ہے
    لے کے چلتے ہیں دوش پر ناقوس
    رنج و غم سے انہیں محبت ہے

    سنکھ دھرا ہے کاندھوں پر اور، درد کی دولت ساتھ،
    لاد چلے وہ کابل کو، کوئی جو سُوجھی بات،
    کرتے گئے کل رات، باتیں کسی مندر کی۔
