On the fifth day, a contemplative reverie seemed to embrace them, intensifying their emotional anguish** Undoubtedly, they dwelt within love's very arena** Throughout the night, restlessness enveloped them, as "Sayed" says: They appeared to be enraptured by a vision of the Beloved, deeply absorbed in its essence** In secrecy, they continued to traverse among the public, unassuming and discreet**

  • On the fifth day some thoughtful fancy seemed to have taken hold of them. It has aggravated their mental suffering. They were no doubt in the love’s own arena. They passed the entire night in restless-ness, according to Sayed: They seemed to have a vision of the Beloved and (being absorbed in it). They moved about unobtrusively in public.

On the fifth day, I found yogis made restless by some though,
Which some severe sorrow within them wrought .
In love's region they did land,
Their whole sight in restlessness they spent,
Having a vision of their love, hiding from people they live.
