  • The woman has rejected the (credit for the) morrow and preferred immediate cash payment policy to meet the Beloved now. "Kindly do not detain and divert the reins of the miserable woman to cause delay (i.e. do not order delay in her case for reunion). It definitely rests with you whether to kill the wretched woman or allow her reunion."

    دیگراں را وعدہ فردا بود
    لیک او را نقد ہم اینجا بود
    (Attar)
    Others are placated with the promise (of union) on the morrow. But a true lover insists on the immediate (attainment or) payment here.

    The maid has given up tomorrow for today,
    In helping her, let there be no delay;
    Either grant her union or give her death.

    The woman discarded tomorrow, took cash with her,
    Don't pull up rein of this miserable to delay her,
    Either kill the wretch or let her get together with you.

    اج تے رکھ بھروسا تیرا کل دی آس مکائی
    واگ مری ہتھ تیرے پنوں تیں کیوں دیر لگائی

    بھول گئی میں وعدہ فراد، اب مانگو دیدار،
    یوں مت ترسا برہن کو اب، درد دکھاجا یار،
    یا تو جان سے مار، یا پھر وصل ہو سائیں!
