Just as herds of wild goats roam the mountains, so too did vultures fill the vast desert of Karbala** Fierce and relentless, they darted back and forth, engaging in fierce battles among themselves** The widows of the martyrs will mourn the profound loss of their beloved husbands, clad in garments dyed black** With their significant number, the demand for indigo (mourning color) will surge, reflecting the magnitude of their collective grief**

  • Just as there are herds of wild goats on mountains, similarly the entire desert of Karbala was crowded by vultures. The ferocious among them scampered hither and thither and engaged each other in fighting bouts. The widows of martyrs will deeply lament the loss of their husbands. They shall wear-clothes dyed black, In view of their sizeable number, the cost of indigo will rise.

Like goats on a meadow, vultures roam on battlefield,
Brave face brave, running to challenge one another,
Martyr views have made indigo's to rise.

As are herds of goats on a mountain so are vultures on the battlefield,
The ferocious among them dash here and there and fight each other,
Widows of martyrs will dye their cloths black, cause the cost of indigo go up.

الابطال قابلوا الابطال وهو يجرون وينادون بعضهم بعضا.
أزواج القتلي (الشهدآء) يغلين أسعار النيلة لأن هن يلبسن ثيابا زرقآء فتصير اسعار النيلة غالية.
