सिन्धी देवनागिरी

मीर मदीनिआं निक्री। देरा डि॒नाऊं।
काठीअ पाणीअ। गाह खे। माणुहू मुकाऊं।
चड़हंदे चयाऊं। थींदी वेड़िहि वडां॒दरी।

ROMAN SINDHI

meer'a madeeni'aa'n nikri, deraa ddinaa'oo'n,
kaathhi'a paanni'a, gaah'a khhay, maannhu mukaa'oo'n,
charrahanday chayaa'oo'n, theendi werrih waddandari.

  • The Mirs (i.e. the Imams) left Madina with their camp followers. They arranged for all the necessary supplies for their expedition. While mounting his steed, the lmam (Imam Hussain) had predicted that they should be prepared for a prolonged confrontation.

    Coming out of Medina the lords camped outside,
    They sent men to bring wood, water and grass,
    Riding their mounts they said, "A biggish battle is about to ensue."


    لقد خرج الأمراء من المدينة المنورة ولم يرجع مرة ثانية صبّغ ثيابا سوداء.
    يا أخي! أنا احترق من الهم والحزن للذين ماتوا واستشهدوا فى عشق ربه .


    چھڈ مدینا غازی ٹرئپے ڈیرا سبھ لدوایا
    ساز سامان جنگ دا لِتا توشہ سفر بنھایا
    جنگ لمیری پیسی دتی سوگھ سوا راں


    چلے ہیں میر مدینے سے اور، ہوئے ہیں خیمہ زن،
    ہر اک کو سندیس دیا اور، لب پر تھا یہ سخن،
    پڑے گا اب تو رن، ہوگی جنگ جوانوں کی۔
