Listen closely, for you must understand that what is commonly regarded as a tragedy of honor was, in truth, a day of celebratory union for the lmam and his companions** It was an affair rooted in love, while Yazid remained devoid of such affection** Indeed, death, in its essence, served as a divine mercy bestowed upon the noble descendants of Hazrat Ali**

  • Hear me (well)! You should know that what is generally assumed as the tragedy of martyrdom was in fact a day of bridal rejoicings for the lmam and his party. It was all an affair of love and Yazid was without it. In fact death was nothing short of Divine mercy for Hazrat Ali’s descendants (as it helped them to meet Allah).

Hearken, the hardship of martyrdom is a nuptial ceremony,
Yazeed was little aware that it was all a matter of love,
Death is like rain for the descendents of Ali.

سختی کب تھی شہادت، کی، ملن کی تھی یہ بات،
کچھ بھی یزید نہ کرسکتا تھا، عشق کی تھیں یہ صفات،
عشق کی تھی برسات، جو برسی آلِ علی پر۔
