سمجهاڻي

مور (نانگ سان) ويڙه ۾ پٺتي هٽڻ پاڻ لاءِ عيب ۽ طعنو سمجهن ٿا، پر نانگ بہ ڪڏهن نوڙت يا هيٺاهين ڪونہ وٺن. مور ڪارن نانگن کي ڊگها ٽڪر ٽڪر ڪريو، نوڙين وانگر لڙڪايو، وات ۾ وجهي ڳڙڪائيندا وڃن. مور وٽيون ڀري وھ پيئڻ وارا آهن. سندن سڪ سرڪين سان لھڻ واري ناهي.

The peacocks, upon encountering snakes, would find it beneath their dignity to retreat** The snakes, on the other hand, would not entertain the thought of surrendering to the peacocks** In the ensuing battle, the peacocks would attack the snakes and devour them piece by piece** Afterward, they would drink cup-fulls of the snakes' poison, as mere sips would not satisfy their thirst**

सिन्धी देवनागिरी

मोरां मोटण मीहणों। नूणी नांग न कनि।
कारायल कारनि खे। गा॒रा किओ गि॒हनि।
वटियें विहु पियनि। सिक सुर्कियें न लहे॥

  • The peacocks (at the sight of snakes) would consider it derogatory to retreat. The snakes too would not think of yielding to the peacocks. In the fight that ensues, the latter assault the snakes and devour them piece meal. They then drink cup-fulls of their poison, because mere sips thereof would not quench their thirst.
