Once, these noble princes never allowed their sacred feet to touch the ground, always carried on their lofty thrones** But now, the swords of the enemy have severed the straps of their saddles, causing them to fall upon the earth** Like predators in the sky, the patient vultures descended upon the heap of lifeless bodies, clasping them firmly in their talons, and feasted upon their flesh**

  • They had never lowered their sacred feet from cots or put them on ground. Now the enemy swords have cut asunder the girdles of their saddles and these princes have fallen on the ground. The waiting vultures swooped on the stack of their corpses, held them in their talons tightly and made food of them.

Those whose feet were sacred, they had never put them from cot on ground,
Swords cut the girths of their saddles, the plume-wearers prince fell on ground,
The vultures fell upon the piles of dead bodies.
