- سُر پورب جَي ڪانگ جو بيت
ڏائي چَڙِهي ڏارَ تي، ڪِي جَو ڪانگَ ڪَھِيو،
سُوريتيءَ سُورِ پَئِي، پَھو پَٽِ ھَنيو،
کامِي اَرِٽُ کَنيو، ويچارِيءَ وِرُونھَن مان.
سمجهاڻي
وڻ جي کٻي ٽاريءَ تي ويھي ڪانگ اهڙي ڪا ٻولي ڪئي بدخبر آندي جو ان محبت جي سورن جي ماريل اها درد ۽ پيڙا واري خبر ٻڌي پنھنجي هٿن واري ڪپھ جي پوڻي کڻي زور سان پٽ تي اڇلائي. لاچار ٿي هوءَ سورن جي ساڙيل عورت آتڻ واريءَ جاءِ تان اٿي چرخو کڻي رواني ٿي.

सिन्धी देवनागिरी
डा॒ए चड़िही डा॒र ते। की जो कांग कहियो।
सुरेतीअ सूरि पई। पहो पटि हंयो।
खामी अरिटु खंयो। वेचारीअ विरूंहं मां।
ROMAN SINDHI
Daayi charrhi Daar'a te, kee jo kaang'a kahiyo,
Soorete'a soora paee, paho patt haniyo,
Khaami artt'u khaniyo, wecharee'a wiroonhn maan.
TRANSLATIONS
The crow first sat on a ridge and then on a tree branch. He uttered something which made the love smitten woman drop on the ground the cotton lump that she carried. Out of anguish caused by the crow’s words, she completely discarded the spinning wheel.
Perching on a mound, then on a tree branch, the crow something,
The grief-stricken girl threw the cotton wad on ground,
Out of distress she abondoned the spinning wheel.
بائیں جانب کی شاخ پر کوا
رازدارانہ کہہ گیا اک بات
کاتنے بیٹھی تھی جو دکھیاری
پھینک کر پونی مل رہی ہے ہات
آن اَٹریا بیٹھا کاگا، بولا ایسے بول،
ہوک اُٹھی برہن کے من میں، سوت دیا سب رول،
چرخہ ڈانواں ڈول، کات نہ پائے برہن۔
