- سُر ديسي جَي ڏيرن ناھي ڏوھ جو بيت
ڏيرَنِ ڏوھُ نَہ جيڏِيُون، ماءُ مِڙُوئِي مُون،
آئُون اَسُونھِين اُو سُونھان، پِرِين ڀَلا پَرڀُون،
اَصلِ آرِيءَ ڄامَ جو، پاندُ نَہ پُڄتوسُون،
جَنِ جو تُونھِين تُون، سي پِيادِيُون پھچائِين.
سمجهاڻي
(سسئي ٿي چوي) اي جيڏيون! منھنجي ڏيرن جو ڪو ڏوھ ڪونهي، اي امڙ! سڄو ڏوھ منھنجو آهي. آءٌ شروع کان وٺي راھ جي اڻڄاڻ ۽ اڻ واقف آهيان ۽ هُو هن ڏورانهين ڏيھ جا واقف ۽ سڃاڻو آهن. منھنجي غلطي اها آهي، تہ مون منڍ ۾ ئي هوتن جي پلئُه جو پاند ڇو نہ پڪڙيو. اي ڄام پنهون! جن جو آسرو ۽ آڌار تون آهين، تن پنڌ وارن پيادين کي پُڄائج.

TRANSLITERATION
सिन्धी देवनागिरी
डे॒रनि डो॒हु न जेडि॒यूं। माउ मिड़ोई मूं।
आऊं असूंहीं ऊ सूंहां। पिरीं भला पर्भूं।
असलि आरीअ जा॒म जो। पांदु न पुज॒तोसूं।
जनि जो तूंहीं तूं। से पियादियूं पह्चाइयें।
ROMAN SINDHI
dderan'ay ddoh'u na jeddiyoo'n, maa'u mirro'ee moo'n,
Aaun asoonhee'n oo soonhaa'n, piree'n bhala parbhoo'n,
Asal'ay aari'a jjaam'a jo, paand'u na pujjto soo'n,
Jan'ay jo toonhee'n too'n, say piyaadiyoo'n pohchaa'een.
TRANSLATIONS
O friends! My husband's brothers are not at fault. O mother! I am in fact to be blamed for this mishap. The fact is that the Beloved belongs to a distant land, and unlike him I do not know the actual route to it. Besides even at the outset it was impossible for me, (a mere plebeian), to reach his (i.e. the Prophet's) apron (or be his equal). (O Prophet!) Would that you were to help, to their goal, those pedestrains who rely exclusively on you!" -
Note: In the above verse Ari Jam may mean the Prophet as well.
O mates, o mother, my husband's brothers were not at fault,
Fault was mine,
I was unfamiliar, they were familiar,
The beloved was from another land,
Right from the beginning I did not hold to the shirttail of Aari lord,
Help those walkers, who have only you, to attain their goals.
نہیں دوش جیٹھاں دا کوئی میں ہاں دوشن بھاری
میں ان جان رہی اوس راہوں جِس توں جانو آری
جے میں پَلا اوس دا پھڑدی نا ہُندی دُکھیاری
میں درماندی بھڑک رہی ہان اوہی راہے پاوے
قصور ان دیوروں کا اس میں کیا ہے
جو سچ پوچھو تو میری ہی خطا ہے
رہی انجان میں ان منزلوں سے
جن سے آری جام آشنا ہے
اگر میں تھام لیتی ان کا دامن
نہ ہوتا پھر یہ جو کچھ بھی ہوا ہے
وہی درماندگی میں ساتھ دے گا
وہی اس غمزدہ کا آسرا ہے
کب تھا ان کا قصور، مجھ میں ہی تھے عیب،
میں انجان وہ جاننہار، دیس بھی انکا دور،
کیسے دامن تھام سکے گی، مجھ جیسی معذور،
جن کا تو ہے حضور! ان کو پیادہ ہی پہنچادے۔
