- سُر ديسي جَي اڱڻ مٿي اوپرا جو بيت
ڏاگهَنِ ڏيرَنِ ڏُونگَرنِ، ڏُکَنِ آئُون ڏَڌِي،
پُڇان پيرُ پُنهونءَ جو، وِجهان وِکَ وَڌِي،
لِکِئي آئُون لَڌِي، نَہ تَہ پَٽَنِ ڪيرَ پَنڌَ ڪَري.
سمجهاڻي
(سسئي ٿي چوي) اٺن، ڏيرن ۽ پھاڙن مون کي هر قسم جا آزار ۽ عذاب ڏنا آهن، پر تڏهن بہ آءٌ پنهونءَ جي ڳولا ۾ جيئن پوءِ تيئن اڳتي پيئي هلان ۽ تيز تڪڙي پيئي پنڌ ڪريان. مون سان قسمت اچي ائين ڪيو آهي يا لکيو اچي منھنجي مٿان بيٺو آهي، ڇو تہ هونئن هن برپٽ ۽ وڏن ميدانن ۾ ڪير پنڌ ڪري ها.

ڎَاکَنِ ڎٖيْرَنِ ڎُنْکَرَنِ ڎُکَنِ اٰءٌ ڎَڌِيْ﮶
پُڇَان پٖيْرُ پُنُوْهَجُوْ وِجَا وِکَہ وَڌِيْ﮶
لِکٖيْ آَءٌ لَڌيْ نَةَ پَٽَنِ ڪٖيْرَ پَنڌَ ڪَرٖيْ﮶

TRANSLITERATION
सिन्धी देवनागिरी
डा॒घनि डे॒रनि डूं॒गरनि। डु॒खनि आऊं ड॒धी।
पुछां पेरु पुनुहूंअ जो। विझां विख वधी।
लिखिए आऊं लधी। न त पटनि केर पन्ध करे।
ROMAN SINDHI
ddaaghhan'ay deran'ay ddoongaran'ay, ddukhhan'ay aaun ddadhi,
Puchhaa'n per'u Punhoon'a jo, wijhaa'n wikh'a wadhi,
Likhhi'ay aaun ladhi, na ta pattan'ay ker'a pandh'a karay.
TRANSLATIONS
I have been extremely afflicted by the camels, my consort's brothers and mountains. (As on mission) I trail the prints of Punhoo and accelerate my pace in its course. Were it not predestined for me who would have undertaken this (onerous) journey in the waste?
I bear suffering given me by camels,
Brothers-in-law and rocks,
It is encumbent on me to seek Punhoon's tracks and walk,
Who would the waste land otherwise cross, if not so destined.
Camels, brothers of Punhoon and hills,
I am aggrieved by all the three,
I must quicken my place and enquire about Punhoon's footprints,
It is all fate, otherwise who would ever wander in hilly region.
أنا متألمة ومعذبة بآلام الجبال ومن إخوان زوجي والجبال.
عليّ أن أسأل وأدور آثار أقدام حبيبي بنهون لقد كان مكتبا فى قضاي وقدري هكذا إلا من هو ينطلق ويسر فى البراري والفلوات.
ایہناں اُوٹھاں دیراں پربتاں رل مِل کے میں دجھی
ٹر دی جاواں قدم ودھیندی پیڑ پنوں دی دبی
قسمت دے وچ میری لکھیا پندھ تھلاں دا کرنا
وہ ناقے اور مرے پنہوں کے بھائی
جنہوں نے مجھ کو دانستہ ستایا
مری تقدیر! کوہ و دشت نے بھی
مرے دکھ درد کو پیہم بڑھایا
بہت ڈھونڈا مگر ان وادیوں میں
نظر پنہوں کا نقشِ پا نہ آیا
یہ ناقے، یہ دیور، پربت، سب نے ڈھائے ستم،
ڈھونڈھوں ہوت کے نشقِ پا اور، رکھوں میں تیز قدم،
راہ کے رنج و الم، قسمت کا ہی کھیل ہے سارا۔
