نَهي ٻَڌي روءِ، اَڱَڻِ جهوڪِئو ڪَرَھا،
ڪو چَنيسَرَ چوءِ، تَہ وَڃي لِيلان لَڏِئو.

With tears welling in her eyes, "Leela," (the disheartened queen) harnessed her camel and loaded it with her belongings** She guided the camel into the courtyard of "Chanesar" and positioned it in a sitting posture** Raising her voice, she spoke, "Let someone relay the message to 'Chanesar' that 'Leela' is on the verge of departure**"

  • Eventually with tears in her eyes Leela harnessed her camel and packed him with luggage. She led him inside Chanesar's courtyard and brought him to the sitting position. She then raised her voice and said, "Let some-body inform Chanesar that Leela is about to depart."
    Note: This verse may be interpreted to depict the scene, though not the manner, of Adam's exit from Paradise. One can well imagine Leela's feelings on that occasion. The verse expresses Leela's adieu to Chanesar.

    O my love, why you scorn me,
    I sit by the foot of your bed and leave day forlorn and dejected.

    With tears in her eyes she packed up, mounted her camel in king's courtyard,
    Bringing the camel a sitting position,
    She said, "Go, tell Chaneser that Leela is leaving for good."


    دھولر چھڈ کے چلی لیلا رووے زارو زاری
    کہے کوئی چنیسر جاکے ٹر گئی کرماں ماری


    جا کے کہہ دے کوئی چنیسر سے
    لیلا جاتی ہے آج اس گھر سے
    دستِ شل میں مہار ناقہ ہے
    اشک جاری ہیں دیدۂ تر سے

    لاد کے اپنا اونٹ، "لیلا" نیر بہائے،
    کوئی اسے بتلائے، لیلا لاد چلی ہے۔
