TRANSLITERATION
सिन्धी देवनागिरी
पथरि पेर डिघा करे। जडि॒हीं सुतियूं जे।
तडि॒हीं तनी खे। साथ सुतेई छडि॒यो।
ROMAN SINDHI
pathar'ay per'a Dighha karay, jadd'hee'n sutiyoo'n jay,
taddihee'n tani khhay, saath'a suti'ye chhaddi'o.
TRANSLATIONS
(The poet soliloquizes:) Whenever persons slept comfortably with their legs relaxed on mattresses, their companions always left them while they were asleep.
Note: This may also refer to the ascetics leaving the poet for good while he was asleep at a camp.
Whenever they slept, stretching their legs out on bedspreads,
Their companions left them while they were sleeping.
بے سُدھ ہوکے سُتی سسی لمے پیر پساری
تائیوں اوہ چھڈکے ٹرگئے آری ہوت بپاری
جو بھی پیر پسار کے سوئی، سسی! ساری رات،
اُن سے بچھڑے ساجن سائیں، چھوٹے یار کا ساتھ۔
