اٰرِيَانِيْ اَتُوْرُ ڎِٽُمِ جِةِ اَکِنِس﮼﮶
ھِي بيت ٻين سھيڙيندڙن وٽ ڏِسو
TRANSLITERATION
सिन्धी देवनागिरी
उजाड़ां भंभोरु। सरतियूं सखरु भांयां।
आरियाणी अतोरु। डि॒ठुमि जिति अखियुनि सें।
ROMAN SINDHI
ujaarraa'n bhanbhor'u, saratiyoo'n sakhhar'u bhaanyaa'n,
aariyaanni ator'u, ddithham'ay jit'ay akhhiyun'ay see'n.
TRANSLATIONS
But friends! Bhambhore is better than a barren and unprofitable wilderness, particularly because it was here that I had the occasion to behold my matchless beloved. (This means that monasticism without faith is gratuitous. It is forbidden in Islam. It may also mean that the world is better than the void that proceeded it particularly because the Prophet also came into it and favoured the people with his association and guidance.)
But monasticism - which they invented for themselves - We did not prescribe it for them - for the seeking of Allah's pleasure. (27, Al-Hadid).
Bhanbhore is dearer to me than desolate land,
Where with these eyes I saw Ari Jam my pear less friend.
يا زميلاتي! أنا أحسب الفلوات أحسن من بنبور أنا رأيت السيد الأمير بنهون بعيني لامثيل له فى الأكوان.
سُنجاں توں بھنبور نی اڑیو ہیسی کِتے چنگیزا
ایہنا اکھاں نے جتھے ڈٹھا پنوں سجن میرا
دشت کے ویراں وسعت سے تو، شہر بھنبھور تھا اچھا،
جہاں پہ سکھیو دیکھا میں نے، اپنے یار کا چہرہ۔
