وٖيْچَارِيَ وَنْڪَارُ اَکَہ نَڎِٽُوُ ڪَڎَہٍ﮶
مِهْرَ نَھُئِيْ مَارُوْءٍ هُوْ سَڀُ هِندُوْڪَارُ﮶
جَةُ ڪِئَاءٍ يَارُ سُوْرَنِ ڪَارَنِ سَرَتِيٌ﮶
ھِي بيت ٻين سھيڙيندڙن وٽ ڏِسو
TRANSLITERATION
सिन्धी देवनागिरी
वेचारीअ वणिकारु। अग॒ न डि॒ठो कडि॒हीं।
मिहर न हुई माणुहें। हो सभु हिन्दूकारु।
जतु कियाईं यारु। सूरनि कारणि सरतियूं।
ROMAN SINDHI
Wechaari'a wannkaar'u, agg'u na ddithho kaddiheen,
Meehar'a na hui maannu'hen, ho sabh'u hindookaar'u,
Jat'u kiyaa'een yaar'u, sooran'ay kaarann'ay saratyoon.
TRANSLATIONS
The poor damsel had never been to the oasis before. The people on the way were all unkind heathens. O friends! It seems Sasui made friendship with the beloved only to have hardships in legacy.
Note: In this verse possibly the reference is to the angels who are all unemotional inorganic beings. No mercy can be expected from them unless ordered by Allah. They are said to be armed with maces.
Poor maid had never been to Wankar,
Where loveless were men's minds, all was dark,
Friends! she married Punhoon for endless pain.
The poor woman had never seen Vankaar before,
People had no compassion, it was a dark country,
She made with the camel man for acquiring pain.
اگے کدی نا ڈِٹھا ہیسی سنگھنا بن وڈیرا
مُنکھاں دے دل سکھنے مہروں چوطرفیں گھپ ہنیرا
دُکھ درداں لئی میں سئیو آری یار بنایا
ہائے اس اجنبی بیاباں میں
کنِ مصائب سے وہ ہوئی دوچار
کیا خبر تھی کہ رنگ لائے گا
آخر کار دو دلوں کا پیار
پہلے کب دیکھے تھے میں نے، انجانے اشجار،
مہر کہاں تھی انسانوں میں، ہر سو تھا اندھکار،
دکھ پانے کو یار!، تجھ سے پریت لگائی۔
